In a gathering charged with symbolism and emotion, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, presided over a day of brotherhood this Friday at the Palace of Conventions in Havana with members of the *Nuestra América* Convoy.
Activists from the “Nuestra América” Convoy expressed their desire for genuine dialogue between the United States and Cuba, during a visit in which they arrived on the island bearing humanitarian aid to help counter the economic blockade affecting the country.
Cuba is open to establishing a fluid commercial relationship with U.S. companies, as well as with Cubans residing in the United States and their descendants, Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Pérez Oliva affirmed on Monday.
