India sends aid to Cuba & Jamaica for recovery from Hurricane Melissa
The shipment, totaling 20 tons for each country, departed from New Delhi on Tuesday and includes essential items for rehabilitation, food, medicine, medical equipment, generators, hygiene kits, and other supplies, according to a statement published by the Foreign Ministry.

Through social media, the president praised the dedication and courage of those who, “with their admirable skill and undeniable heroism,” contributed to the rescue of thousands of people after the severe flooding caused by Hurricane Melissa.
This was announced by the Director General of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) of Colombia, Carlos Carrillo.
