The Holguín Culture Week, scheduled for the 14th to the 20th of this month, postponed its 39th edition due to the hygienic and sanitary situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the province, which reports an increase in positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the last days.

 

The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) in Holguín, together with other associations in the province, boosts institutional collecting with the aim to protect, promote and exhibit an important part of artistic creation in the country.

 

The books “Memorias desde el Sur” and “Guayza, la niña taína”, by local writers Víctor Aguilera Nonell and Juan Guarch Rodríguez, respectively, are among the books to be launch this year by La Mezquita publishing house of the Union of Historians of Cuba in the eastern province.
