Cuban Parliament convenes its 5th Ordinary Session

The 5th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), in its 10th Legislature, will take place on July 16 at the Convention Center in Havana.
According to the Cuban legislature's website today, the plenary session's agenda includes an evaluation of the compliance and impact of the Government Program measures to correct distortions and boost the economy, information on the economy at the end of the first half of 2025, and an update on the execution of the 2025 State Budget and the liquidation of the 2024 Budget.
In addition, other topics will be assessed, such as the accountability of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder by its Spanish aceonym) and the Provincial Government of People's Power of Camagüey, and the report on the exercise of the highest authorities of the Ministry of Transportation; as well as the analysis and discussion of several draft laws.
Previously, on July 14 and 15, meetings of the permanent working committees of the Cuban legislature will be held, where more than 80 issues on the national agenda that directly impact the population will be analyzed.
The call will be provided to the deputies, the Central State Administration agencies, and other relevant bodies and authorities; it will also be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic and other media outlets for general information. (Source: ACN)
