Director general of the United States at Cuba's Foreign Ministry, Carlos Fernández, affirmed today that the North American nation uses the Covid-19 pandemic to intensify the economic blockade, using it as a political weapon against the island.

 

The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported 49 new cases detected yesterday of Covid-19, for a total of 2,775 positive cases across the island.

Cuba has so far used more than a billion pesos in the fight against Covid-19, a considerable figure in the midst of the world crisis, exacerbated in Cuba by the blockade imposed by the United States.
