Holguín convenes the audiovisual festival "Por Primera Vez"

With the aim of promoting cinematographic creation, the Holguín Provincial Film Center (CPC) convenes the XV edition of the National Audiovisual Festival "Por Primera Vez" (For the First Time), from February 21 to 24 in this eastern city.
The agenda for the event includes the contest in which filmmakers from all over the country can participate with their debut works in the genres of fiction, documentary, cartoons and short film, the latter of up to 15 minutes length.
The works, not presented in previous editions of the event, must have been produced between 2019 and 2021, according to the bases of the contest.
The works, received until February 1, will be delivered spoken or subtitled in Spanish, with HD resolution and in MP4 format, along with the registration form and a vertical poster for the promotion.
Once selected by the organizing committee, these works will be exhibited in cinemas and video rooms in Holguín during this date and will later become part of the archive of the sponsoring institution.
The Provincial Film Center also convenes a pitch or project presentation, with free registration and an admission period identical to that of the contest.
All those interested in obtaining financing to start or complete a cinematographic work will defend the project in the presence of a jury made up of filmmakers and members of the CPC who will select the winner.
During the Festival, which is dedicated to the challenges of contemporary audiovisual production, a parallel sample of out-of-competition materials will be displayed in the exhibition halls of this eastern city.
In addition, the Cine Martí lobby of this city will host an exhibition of plastic arts in, together with panels and conversations on the seventh art, with the presence of guest filmmakers and researchers.
