Holguín to host the 26th Municipal Visual Arts Salon "El Angelote"

Galería Holguín will host the 26th edition of the Municipal Visual Arts Salon "El Angelote" from April 8 to 10.
The event is dedicated to Danilo López Garcés, Master of Science in History and Culture, promoter, curator and art critic, according to Roilán Carballosa, director of the gallery.
"The event will feature 26 art works, including paintings, prints, drawings, a direct cement sculpture, installations and an art book, selected from a total of 40 works submitted, showing a notable increase in the quality and quantity of participants compared to previous editions," Roilán added.
The program includes a lecture on April 10th at the gallery to unveil the first three sculptural monuments of the area, dedicated to the figures of Major General Calixto García Íñiguez, Julio Grave de Peralta and the symbolic sculpture of "El Angelote", located in the city's main parks.
The jury is composed of the art critic Danilo López Garcés, the visual artist Juan Carlos Anzardo Escalona and the artist and curator Bertha Beltrán Ordóñez.
