"We not only want to provide young people with the tools for technology, but also for entrepreneurship, which is so important mainly in a city like this. More than 50 audiovisual materials compete for the Lucía awards at the International Film Festival (FIC) of Gibara -2019, including the Cuban short fiction film Rállame la zanahoria by actor and director Eduardo del Llano, which was among the films screened on Monday in the coastal city of Holguín.

 

The outstanding Cuban actress Daisy Granados and the film director Fernando Pérez received the Lucía de Honor Prize in ceremony held during the opening of the 15th International Film Festival (FIC) of Gibara, taking place in this coastal city until July 13th.

 

The attractive colonial city of Gibara, also known as Villa Blanca de los Cangrejos, is getting ready to host the 15th edition of the International Film Festival (FIC) from July 7 to 13, with more than 70 films in competitions from countries such as Germany Spain, United Kingdom, Iceland, Switzerland, Argentina and Cuba.
