2025 Health Award to be presented in Holguín

In Holguín, 80 authors registered to compete for the 2025 Annual Health Award, with 28 finalists set to learn the verdict from the judging panels this Friday after defending their work in a plenary session.
Participants compete in the categories of master's degrees, articles, books, scientific and technological results, and specialty theses, which are evaluated by three panels made up of 15 Doctors of Science.
The main topics addressed include maternal and child health, human resources training, primary health care, communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as the introduction of new therapies approaches and health technology.
Dr.C Elianis Ocaña Samada, director of the Provincial Council of Scientific Health Societies, said that finalists represent 11 entities in the sector in the province, with notable participation from hospitals such as Octavio de la Concepción and Lucía Íñiguez Landín, the Mariana Grajales Cuello medical sciences faculty, the Moa Health Directorate, and the Nursing Scientific Society chapter.
The Annual Health Award is the highest recognition given by MINSAP to professionals and students with with significant contributions to research related to the sector, in accordance with the 2030 Agenda and the Party and Revolution's Economic and Social Policy Guidelines.
