Holguín Company increases production through innovation

The Holguín Beverage and Soft Drink Company (Ember) increases its production through the use of technological innovation that allows the maintenance and recovery of machinery with nearly half a century of operation, as well as the incorporation of alternative preparations.

Martín Pupo Marrero, director of the entity, told ACN that during 2024 the company, dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of alcoholic and sugar-derived beverages, maintained nearly ten industrialization lines of which it exceeded several, such as guava and raisin wines and total soft drinks.

Innovators have played an important role, as they have the challenge of keeping long-lived equipment in operation, most of which are semi-automated and artisanal systems, among which is the shrink wrapper for packaging bottles.

Pupo Marrero pointed out that in order to cooperate with priority sectors of society such as Public Health and Education, they provide them with supplies for school snacks and patient nutrition, including syrups and natural juices, aimed at diversifying the offers demanded by vulnerable population groups.

Belonging to the Ministry of the Food Industry, Ember de Holguín deserved the recognition "Most productive and efficient", awarded by the union of workers in the sector for its outstanding performance and sustained commitment to the needs of the population and commerce, where they boast recognized brands such as Bariay rum, Coronilla brandy and prú oriental.
