Holguín calls for 2025 Provincial Environment Award

The territorial delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma) in the province of Holguín calls for the Provincial Environment Award 2025, which is awarded to highlight the work of companies, organizations and individuals, in pursuit of the conservation of the environment.
Candidates must show relevant results in the use and management of natural resources, the development of production processes, the production of goods and services, contributing to the transition towards a circular economy, to the State Plan to Confront Climate Change (Life Task) and to the sustainable development of the territory.
Those proposals that go through the evaluation process in the territorial delegation of Citma will be considered as candidates for the Provincial Environment Award and will be awarded in the following categories: productive and/or service entities; cultural, recreational, research and educational entities, as well as labor groups; political, mass, non-governmental organizations, individuals and the non-state sector.
Among the requirements to take into account to grant the award are: a responsible attitude and dedication to environmental work for at least 3 years; leadership in environmental matters, with commitment and direct participation to contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental performance; projections of advanced work on environmental issues, with emphasis on the preventive approach, among others.
The territorial delegation of Citma will evaluate the proposals that satisfy the requirements of the call, received until March 31, 2025.
