Holguín calls for photo contest " Patrimonio en un click”

The Revolution Square Major General Calixto García Íñiguez and the Office of Monuments and Historical Sites of Holguín have launched the digital photography contest "Patrimonio en un click" (Heritage in a click) in celebration of the upcoming International Day of Monuments on April 18.
The contest aims to promote the appreciation and knowledge of cultural heritage through photography, highlighting the beauty, history and significance of local, national or international monuments.
With the central theme "Capturing the essence of our monuments," Amateur photographers can submit up to 3 original and unpublished photographs in color or black and white.
It will include the categories local heritage, national heritage, and emblematic monuments of the country. Photographs may be sent to the Plaza de la Revolución page or group, or may be tagged in the publication from March 10 to April 5, 2025.
The jury is composed of photographers, historians, and cultural representatives, and The evaluation criteria will include: originality, composition, technique and cultural relevance.
The award ceremony will take place in the Plaza de la Revolución on April 9 as part of the workshop "Treasures of Time. Monuments: History and Identity".
Selected images may be used in cultural promotion campaigns with credit to the author.
