The Rutas Holguín Tourist Commercial Palace was inaugurated on Wednesday, as part of a project of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) to enrich and diversify the tourism offer in the eastern territory.

Located on the city's central boulevard, Rutas Holguín presents an integrative space dedicated to the market, local identity and tourism promotion, managing not only the sun and beach areas and excursion zones but also the city tour.

Francisco Suárez Fernández, Mintur's delegate in Holguín, highlighted that the project addresses the lack of a space that integrates and mediates between visitors and the community, aiming to position the urban center for its cultural and commercial attractions.

The palace brings together key tourism sector actors, including a Palmares Info-Café, the Infotur office, and representatives from tour operators such as Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Havanatur, and Gaviotatur, facilitating a more coordinated and complete service.

Suarez Fernandez also informed that a Tourism Observatory was incorporated to generate data, analysis, and trends on tourism in the province, in collaboration with the University of Holguín.

The inauguration was attended by Joel Queipo Ruíz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province and Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguín, among other provincial authorities, who recognized companies and institutions that supported the project.

Rutas Holguín is the first work inaugurated by the Mintur in tribute to July 26, and seeks to establish Holguín as a preferred vacation destination, honoring the identity of the Holguín people.

The Commercial Palace will be open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
