A program with profound humanism in Holguín

The continuous supply of electricity to 76 children, adolescents, and young people whose lives depend directly on this service, is the purpose of the national program being promoted by the Ministries of Public Health and Energy and Mines in Holguín province.
To achieve this, portable charging stations of 1,200 watts are being installed in their homes, each accompanied by a solar panel of about 400 watts, ensuring energy autonomy in case of power outages.
The equipment, acquired through Energoimport and distributed according to a survey conducted by health authorities, benefits patients with serious conditions such as severe cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, refractory epilepsy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Down syndrome, among others.
In Holguín, several patients in both urban and rural areas have already received these modules, installed by the Renewable Energy Sources Unit of the provincial Electric Company.
This initiative reflects a deep sense of humanity and solidarity by prioritizing the lives and well-being of people in vulnerable conditions. Moreover, the program supports access to this technology through a symbolic monthly payment of only ten pesos for the use of the stations and solar panels, highlighting its social focus and profoundly humanitarian nature.
