With the theme "Ozone for life" Holguín marks today the International Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer with the implementation of various actions that contribute to the elimination of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) until the year 2030.

 

The Turquino canning factory in the province of Holguín, one of the six existing in the east of the Island, shows favorable results in the different economic indicators and the delivery of physical productions promoted throughout the year, reaching until the end of August around 80 percent of the total plan proposed for 2020.

 

The health system in the province of Holguín has reinforced epidemiological surveillance in recent days, after the diagnosis of two new positive cases for COVID-19 in the main municipality, which demands a group of measures adopted to contain the disease.

The Tourism sector in Holguín, supported by the Ecovalor Project, works to protect the natural resources exploited, including beach, bay, underwater landscape and protected area in accordance with the Territorial Ordering plans and regulations binding with Cuban legislation for the Protection of the Environment.
