In the 2022 national competitive calendar, the province of Holguín participated in 31 disciplines, with two first places, two seconds, two fourths, one fifth and six comprehensive sixth places, which constitute the avand-garde of the sector in this eastern territory.
Pentathlon and Sailing lead the list in school games, while fencing (fourth in school, second in youth and third in senior games) and artistic gymnastics (third in pioneers, first in school, fourth in youth and adults games) placed second.
Chess (pioneering seventh, school and youth fourth, and senior sixth) and cycling (school fourth, youth third, and senior fourth) were fourth.
Baseball Five with its third position in adults ranked fifth, while handball, boxing, triathlon, diving and water polo were sixth.
In an intermediate rank, from seventh to ninth are badminton, baseball, soccer, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, weightlifting, artistic swimming, softball, field tennis, table tennis, shooting, and beach volleyball.
