The University of Medical Sciences of Holguín will begin the fourth edition of the Master’s Degree Program in Natural Medicine and Comprehensive Patient Care in March, which will run until December of the following year.
The program will conclude with the defense of the final projects of students who meet the established academic requirements. Announced in January, the call is aimed at general practitioners, specialists, and graduates in health technologies and Physical Culture from both the eastern region and other parts of the country.
This intercultural program includes eight lines of study that promote research projects linked to integrative medicine. These topics are developed through teaching, medical care, health education, and neuroscience, also incorporating artificial intelligence as an innovative tool in medical and educational practice.
In this edition, curricular adjustments have been introduced in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Public Health.
The program adopts a “One Health” approach, integrating human, animal, and environmental aspects as the core of its research lines. The master’s program consists of thirteen courses that strengthen scientific training and research outcomes for professionals.
The faculty is made up of highly qualified specialists, 90% of whom hold doctoral degrees. The program also deepens the study of therapeutic modalities in natural medicine, with special focus on care for the elderly and child health.
This year, the program will undergo an external evaluation from February 23 to 27 to certify and enhance the quality of the training process, addressing the social and health needs of the region through integrative natural medicine
