Cuba Holds Workshop on Amazon Expedition to the Caribbean

Photo: Prensa LatinaIn the context of the celebrations for the anniversary of the expedition ''In Canoe from the Amazon to the Caribbean'' a reflection workshop was held with the assistance of Cubans who participated in that trip. The event led to the fraternal exchange between the members of this expedition of that feat, materialized during 1987 and 1988, and organized and directed by Antonio Nuñez Jimenez, a press release from the Foundation that bears his name.
According to the text, most of the members of the expedition agreed that this trip was the major one they had made in their lives from the social and human viewpoint.
The workshop was used to prepare the International Symposium 'In Canoe towards a Culture of Nature', organized by the Antonio Nuñez Jimenez Foundation (FANJ), from June 25 to 28, at the National Fine Arts Museum, in Havana. / PL
