More than 600 delegates from 42 countries are starting on Tuesday the debates of the 16th International Congress, Pedagogia 2019, officially opened on Monday in Havana and will last until Friday.

 

Havana residents have acknowledged the accelerated pace of recovery efforts in areas affected by the tornado that hit the capital on January 27th, causing considerable material losses and taking 6 human lives.

 

The well-known Brazilian theologian and writer Frei Betto warned in Havana on Thursday about the alignment danger faced by young people in the present world due to capitalist formulas aimed at breaking the revolutionary potential of new generations.

 

Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca reports that donations from outside the island for storm victims can be made by national or regional governments, companies, NGOs, or individuals through the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment to ensure that relevant tax and tariffs exemptions are applied and that donations are distributed to those in need.
