29th Ibero-American Culture Festival begins today in Holguín

The 29th edition of the Ibero-American Culture Festival, which will last until October 30, begins today in Holguin with the participation of about one hundred foreign delegates.
The present celebration, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the founding of the House of Ibero-America and is dedicated to the centenary of the Cuban scientist Antonio Nuñez Jimenez, as part of its initial program held on Monday the concert of the Holguin Symphonic Orchestra together with the Spanish singer Pilar Boyero, at the Eddy Suñol Theater.
During this academic event, Dr. Armando Hart Davalos will be awarded, post mortem, the Casa de Iberoamerica distinction for his contribution to the creation of the Ibero-American Culture Festival and Casa de Iberoamerica projects.
There will also be an exhibition of the project of enterprising women from Cuba, at the Provincial Art Center, the XIII Ibero-American Festival of Handcrafted Wines and the opening of the Iberian Cultural Center that will host the presentation of the duo Rumba Catalana, from Spain and the celebration of the V anniversary of the ballet "Encuentro".
Held annually in the eastern city of Holguin, the Ibero-American Culture Festival promotes the exchange among Latin American peoples and has a wide-ranging program that includes concerts, audiovisual shows, exhibitions and conferences. (Source: ACN)
