Photographic exhibition “Ofrendas” opens in Holguín

The exhibition “Ofrendas” by photographers Roberto Chile and Julio Larramendi was inaugurated in Holguín as part of the cultural space Babel, dedicated to the visual arts in the current edition of the Romerías de Mayo.
The main hall of the Provincial Art Center hosted the exhibition that, with a total of 20 pieces, reflects various aspects of tradition and nationality through images associated with the racial and religious aspects of Afro-Cuban.
In his opening words, Julio Larramendi expressed his emotion at achieving snapshots that for the first time make religion the protagonist in a raw and unfiltered way. He thanked Roberto Chile for making with him a contribution of parallel and confluent views on such an intriguing and everyday topic.
As part of the Babel activities, the exhibition “Equilibrio”, by the National Council of Plastic Arts was also opened to the public, which constitutes an intergenerational meeting of creators who are committed to the strength of the photographic image.
