The CartelON project sponsored by the Cultural Ministry of the Embassy of Spain-AECID and the Organizing Committee of the International Film Festival of Gibara, chaired by Jorge Perugorría, opened in this city the exhibition of posters All about Pedro on occasion of 70th anniversary of Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar.

The exhibition is part of a contest aimed at lovers of the graphics for screen printing and the creation of posters inspired by the films of Almodóvar.

It also aims to take a tour of the entire artistic career of the Spanish director, considering that Almodovar's filmography has achieved a great visual impact and an aggressive communicative effectiveness, which is a challenge for Cuban artists.

However, the exhibition opened in the Culture Center of Gibara, comprises in a functional and ingenious way the sketches recreated by the Cuban designers and those that originally accompanied the premiere of each film.

Pedro Almodóvar began his film work with the so-called "Movida madrileña", jumping from the crazy comedy to the melodrama, from the thriller to a deep love story, always accompanied by his brother and producer Agustín Almodóvar.

Throughout his artistic career he has created his own universe in his way of perceiving reality, giving prominence to "desire" through broken characters, which despite having difficult lives enjoy spiritual and corporal freedom.
