The province of Holguín is getting ready for the celebration on Thursday, September 7, of the national event for the 46th anniversary of the founding of the National Union of Culture Workers (SNTC), when it will also receive the status of National Vanguard during the first stage of the emulative movement Culture in Revolution.
Félix Martínez Pérez, general secretary of the SNTC here, mentioned among the main achievements in the territory, the granting of National Vanguard distinction last year to entities such as the Cultural Assets Fund, the Propaganda and Events Business Unit and the Artex branch, as well as the election as Distinguished Nationals to eight entities in the sector, including the Support Unit for Cultural Activity (Upaac), the Music Recordings and Editions Company (Egrem) and the Provincial Center for Books and Literature, as well as the commendable work of the innovators and the growth of affiliation, among others.
The event will take place at the Eddy Suñol theater, with the participation of national leaders of the union, and guests from the provinces of Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey.
The celebration will be propitious for the presentation of the call to the Second National Conference of the SNTC and the recognition for the more than five thousand Holguín affiliates, protagonists of the work in one of the most important cultural places in the country.
