New Social Rehabilitation Center opens in Holguín

On the occasion of the celebrations for the International Workers' Day this May 1st, a modern Rehabilitation and Social Reintegration Center was inaugurated in the community of Kampuchea, in Holguín city.
Salvador Valdés Mesa, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the PCC and vice president of the Republic of Cuba; Inés María Chapman Waugh, deputy prime minister of the country; Joel Queipo Ruíz, first secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in Holguín and Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, Governor of the Province, attended the inauguration of the center.
"With an investment of 20 million pesos, we have a capacity of 66 shelters in our facility to date; for the next stage it is planned to expand with 52 more capacities, so we will receive 118 people. This institution was created to shelter people and to be able to benefit them with comprehensive care," Yoandris Mojena Padrón, director of the center, told the visitors.
Valdés Mesa and the delegation toured the entity and exchanged with reinserted people about their transit through the place, which has been appreciated by everyone.
During the visit, the Cuban vice president asserted that this space fulfills one of the fundamental policies of the Revolution: not to leave anyone helpless.
