First graduation of teachers for Technical and Professional level in Holguín

The first graduation of teachers from the Technical and professional educational level, was celebrated recently in the Cuban eastern province of Holguín, an experience that comply with the teacher training strategy in this Cuban territory.
The DrC. Roberto González Ricardo, head of the Department of this specialty in the Provincial Directorate of Education, said that this graduation includes 23 Service graduates, who received a four-year study program with the aim of preparing them to face teaching in the polytechnics of the province.
The new teachers will join the faculty on November, when the 2020-2021 school year is scheduled to begin.
González Ricardo referred to the guarantee that graduates have of enrolling in related university degrees, so that all will continue to train in the pedagogical profile of the Economics career at the University of Holguín.
At the moment, more than 500 students in first, second and third year are preparing in different ETP specialties at the Calixto García Polytecnic School, destined for these purposes.
In this way, the completion of the teaching coverage in the middle and long term at this educational level is guaranteed, an issue of great concern in previous years in the territory.
