Holguín hosts conference on Cardiology

Under the motto “Mind, soul, body and heart, united for better health”, the First Provincial Conference on Cardiology takes place this September 29 in Holguín, regarding World Heart Day, with the participation of specialists and students of medical career.
The agenda includes the presentation of 11 speakers, including three of the 34 students registered for this important event, which welcomes health professionals from almost all the Holguín municipalities.
Dr. Reyber Jesús Domínguez Pérez, president of the Holguín Chapter of the Cuban Society of Cardiology (CH.SCC) explained that clinicians, rehabilitators, surgeons, psychiatrists, specialists and residents also joined the event, and highlighted the participation of the three presidents of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Family Medicine Chapters.
Heart failure, an update on Diabetes Mellitus and its therapy; effect of nutrition on the quality of the intestinal microbiota, atrial fibrillation and a round table entitled "Prevention of cardiovascular diseases associated with premature aging", are among the topics for debate .
The World Heart Federation (World Hearts Federation) promotes this year the celebration of September 29, World Heart Day, with a reminder and call for everyone to take care of this essential organ, for which it insists on being attentive to cardiovascular disease (CVD), the main cause of death on the planet.
