Sixty years after the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, founded the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), they continue to fulfill the purposes attributed to them on September 28, 1960.

Despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, this organization has not stopped fighting battles in different spheres of Cuban society and economy.

Currently some 138 thousand CDRs make up the organization, with the aim of mobilizing all the people in defense of the Revolution with direct work in the community.
