Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Holy See, arrived in Cuba for an official visit scheduled for June 3 to 6.
Upon his arrival in Havana's Jose Marti International Airport, the visitor was received by Elio Eduardo Rodriguez Perdomo, deputy foreign minister, Caridad Diego Bello, head of the office for religious affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Antoine Camilleri, Apostolic Nuncio.
The presence of Monsignor Gallagher in Cuba is part of the commemorative activities for the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Holy See, an occasion that is also a proof of the positive state of relations between the two States.
