Holguín: Adelaida del Mármol National Poetry Prize convened

The Adelaida del Mármol National Poetry Prize, in its 20th edition, summons all Cuban writers residing in the country to participate in the contest, organized by the Provincial Center for Books and Literature and the Ediciones Holguín publishing house.
Those interested may compete with an unpublished book on a free theme and an extension between 60 and 80 pages, the works will be sent online in two pdf files, one with the book, accompanied by a pseudonym, and another with the data of the author to the e-mail mailto:This email address is being protected from spambots. The file corresponding to the author's data must include the title of the work in competition, name and surname, pseudonym, identity card number, telephone number, email address and a brief biographical record.
The jury's decision will be final, it will be made up of prestigious poets and the results of the contest will be announced at the Ibero-American Culture Festival, to be held between October 24 and 30, 2023, so the admission period closes at 3:00 p.m. on the 5th of this month.
No clarifications will be made about the contest or any type of contact will be maintained with the authors, since participation in the contest implies acceptance of the bases, in this way the works that do not meet the requirements will be disqualified, the prize will consist of ten thousand Cuban pesos, the publication of the book by Ediciones Holguín and the payment of the copyright of the first edition.
The Prize, which pays homage to the Holguín poet Adelaida del Mármol, considered the most important local lyrical voice of the 19th century, emerged as a contest in 1989 and in its beginnings had as its first winning work Testigo de los días, by Alejandro Fonseca.
The award has also been granted to writers Odette Alonso, Lourdes González, Jesús David Curbelo, Roberto Manzano, Luis Yuseff and José Luis Serrano.
