Holguín hosts workshop on foreign trade, finance and innovation

The Holguín Scientific-Technological and Industrial Park and the Holguín–Las Tunas delegation of Cuba’s Chamber of Commerce are organizing the Datacamp Global Lab I workshop: Foreign Trade, Finance, and Innovation Conference.
The event is aimed at businesspeople, entrepreneurs, professionals, and members of the public interested in these subjects.
The meeting will take place on October 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Bar Regente in Holguín. Its purpose is to provide theoretical and practical tools that can help different forms of enterprise participate more successfully in international markets.
Key topics will include import and export procedures under Resolution 126 of 2026. The workshop will also cover the use of digital trade platforms, tariff classifications, and insurance contracting, all of which are important for facilitating and protecting the exchange of goods and services.
The program will include international finance and foreign-currency payment issues, such as letters of credit, financing options, and exchange-rate risk management. These tools are regarded as necessary for strengthening links among state-owned companies, private-sector actors, and foreign partners.
The workshop will also address competitive, commercial, and artificial intelligence, along with the benefits of joining science parks, economic associations, and special development zones. With limited capacity and participation certificates, the initiative seeks to promote innovation, sustainable local development, and Cuba’s integration into the global economy.
