It was at the Second Conference of Socialist Women (Copenhagen, 1910) that women were found to be occupying a place in the struggles of the working class, to the point of “becoming a social force that cannot be ignored in the process of the class struggle ”, and where it was voted for this annual day of struggle for the emancipation of women.
In 1975 the UN established March 8 as International Women's Day, with one objective, which is still valid today: to fight for equality, justice, peace and development.
The incorporation of women into the Revolution is vital in all fields, in the economy, production, services, education and the defense of the country.
In the fight against COVID-19, Cuban women actively participate and play a leading role.
