Candidates for deputies in Holguín meet with their voters

The candidates nominated this Sunday in the extraordinary sessions of the Municipal Assemblies of Holguín, visited the demarcations where they were elected, to exchange with the people who placed their trust in them and will represent them in the Cuban Parliament.
The visit included the district number five of the Holguin city, where the People’s Councils of Centro Ciudad Sur, Reparto Harlem, Zona Industrial, Alex Urquiola and Pedernales are located.
The candidates for deputies to the National Assembly for these communities are Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Holguín, and Rosilema Rodríguez Sánchez, delegate of constituency 72, of the Alex Urquiola People’s Council.
Both candidates, after receiving a series of information on the main indicators of the Holguín municipality, began their tour through of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Confecciones "Lidia Doce Sánchez", where they spoke with their workers to learn about their concerns and needs.
The complex situation generated by the wage-price correlation continues to be one of the main concerns of Holguín residents, a problem that has many causes, but requires objective solutions that depend on an increase in goods production.
Delegates arrived at the Octavio de la Concepción y la Pedraja pediatric hospital in the city of Holguín with the aim of exchanging with one of the most prestigious health groups in Holguín.
At the meeting, Miguel Leyva, director of the hospital, said that despite the difficulties that damege the processes at the children's health institution, the development of medical programs continues, with great impact on cancer treatment and maternal and child care.
The tour also included the Holguín Meat Company and the Plaza de la Marqueta where they visited areas of economic and social interest.
Later, they met with residents of constituency 135 of the Centro Ciudad Sur People’s Council, where residents referred to the attention of some political leaders towards the people and the communication that should exist between both social actors; the weakened gastronomy service and the competition that prevails in the prices of the TCP and MIPYMES, a situation that only harms the population.
"We may not have all the resources that our people demand to solve their problems, but you can be sure that the feelings of all of you will go with us to the Cuban Parliament, to speak on behalf of all," both candidates for deputies agreed.
