The footballers Karel Mariño and Alejandro del Val will travel to Havana on Monday, March 15, where they will carry out the concentration of the Cuban futsal preselection, under the bubble system, with their eyes set on the World Cup qualifiers based in Guatemala of the May 3 to 9 to come.
Both players must present negative PCR test results and thus start training.
The Cuban preselection of this sport, made up of 20 athletes, began its preparation for the qualifying competition on November 28 in Ciego de Ávila and stopped training on December 19, due to the complex epidemiological situation facing the country.

The select group has not been able to work on the team's strategies since that date, however, both Holguín footballers continued to train from their homes, to find a place among the 14 players who will travel to the World Cup.
Cuba appears in group D and will debut on May 3 against Nicaragua, will face El Salvador the next day and will close the qualifying phase on day 5 against the United States.
Karel Mariño, 36 years old, will seek to attend his second Futsal World Championship, since his last inclusion was in the “Colombia 2016” list, when he became the only Holguín footballer to score a goal in those competitions.
Alejandro del Val, 24 years old, shows his skills to the specialists of the national football school, to be included in the main team.
