Holguin Alejandro Parra to Cycling Stage in Argentine

Photo: ACNThe Holguin cyclist Alejandro Parra Perez will participate in Vuelta a San Luis, Argentina, from the 21st to the 28th, as part of his training for the Central American and Caribbean Games of Barranquilla, Colombia, in July and August. 
Alejandro, selected Rookie of the Year 2017 in this northeastern territory, integrates the Cuban team, along with Pedro Portuondo (Santiago de Cuba), Felix Nodarse (Artemisa), Christian Pérez (Matanzas), Leandro Marcos (Havana) and Hidalgo Vera (Guantanamo ), while the former Adonis Cardoso will serve as coach.This young cyclist last year won a regional gold medal in the Madison test in the Pan American Championship played in Trinidad and Tobago, bronze in the specialty, in the Cuba Cup, as well as tenth place in the individual general classification of the National Classic Route.
His promotion started in 2016, when he won the gold medal in the race by points in Cuba Track Cycling Cup, in addition to five medals (two gold medals) in the National Youth Olympiad, where he was the most outstanding athlete in cycling.In the 5th Cuban National Route Cycling Classic, to begin on February 14, Alejandro Parra Perez will be a key player in the performance of the Holguin team, ranked third in the previous year.
The Route will arrive at the City of Parks in the third stage, on Friday 16 of that same month, coming, for the first time, from Santiago de Cuba.
